Welcome!

My name is Valerie, and I am a certified Travel Advisor based out of Northern CA, and I own my own travel business by the name of Villamar Travel. Since I was young, I have always been fascinated by exploring the world, I was born in California, but my parents were born and raised in Peru, so I spent a lot of time traveling back and forth visiting family throughout my childhood. I am bilingual in Spanish which helps me to be able to help my Spanish speaking clients or my clients that travel to Spanish speaking countries. I am slowly checking places off my bucket list, but it is a very long list! I am a proud mom to two, 12-year-old twin boys, and since having them, my husband and I have been excited to adventure as a family. Most recently we introduced them to scuba diving in Belize and the wonderful culture of Puerto Rico!

Our Adventures:

We have been to many places with so many more to go! My husband and I have stayed in an over water bungalow in Fiji for our honeymoon, what an incredible experience that was! I have also been to multiple locations in Mexico such as Puerto Vallarta, Cabo and even a scuba diving trip to Cozumel. As a family we have traveled to Costa Rica and visited the Arenal Volcano, the hanging bridges and snorkeled in Guanacaste- one of my all-time favorite countries to visit so far!

We have also gone to Belize and split our stay between San Ignacio to be able to visit the ATM cave, zipline, go cave tubing, and even did a day in Guatemala to see the Tikal Mayan Ruins, then finished our stay with a plane hopper to Ambergris Caye where we snorkeled with manatees and nurse sharks in the crystal-clear waters. We just recently spent 10 days exploring Puerto Rico and made it all around the island including stopovers at neighboring Vieques and Culebra Islands, we loved every minute!

My family and I LOVE to hike and be in the outdoors, so we are also National Park Collectors. We have been to 26 National Parks so far and our goal is to get to all 63! We travel in our motorhome and have been to the Big 5 in Utah: Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Bryce. We have also been to others such as Big Bend in Texas, have gone to Yellowstone, Tetons and Glacier in Wyoming and Montana and Kenai Fjords and Denali in Alaska, for a few examples. We tow our Jeep with us and enjoy some off roading and rock crawling as well. I truly believe that we live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure, there is no end to the memories and experiences we can have if we seek them out.
